The principle of community serving community is the foundation of our care. Our history in South Lake began when a group of community-minded citizens came together in 1938 to form the Clermont Welfare League. Their simple goal was to build a clinic to meet the needs for health care service in South Lake County. South Lake Hospital was founded in 1947 to provide quality healthcare services and promote healthy lifestyles to this community. Over the next six decades, we’ve continually expanded our services and community outreach to better serve South Lake residents. That commitment culminated in 2000 with the opening of our beautiful new campus.

Today we’ve grown to be a cornerstone of the South Lake community. Our 180-acre health, wellness and education campus provides a complete continuum of quality care to the citizens of the South Lake community. With 170 beds and more than 1,600 employees, we are equipped to serve you.
